Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) Batteries

The Sealed Lead Acid battery is an economical choice for the Cyclone 360 watt motor when weight is not a major concern. While two of these batteries will weigh in at about 26 pounds they will power a bike equipped with the 360 watt motor over 20 miles on level ground. These batteries are not recommended for the 500 watt motor because they will not supply enough current for the motor to develop full power.

When selecting an SLA battery it is also important to note that this type of battery requires recharging as soon as possible after it is discharged. While other types of batteries can be left in a discharged state without harm, SLA batteries can be permanently damaged of they are not recharged shortly after use.

Our universal 12 volt 1 amp charger will recharge a completely discharged SLA battery in about 12-18 hours. Partially discharged batteries will recharge much faster.

Shown above are two 12v 18Ahr SLA batteries
and the accompanying charger.
Note that one charger is required for each battery.
