Q: Will the Cyclone kits work on recumbents and trikes? A: Absolutely! In fact, installing on a trike is probably easier than installing on a diamond frame bike because you will not need to change the crank shaft, just change swap your existing crank arms with the ones supplied in the kit. Because the chainline varies so much on the various models of recumbents, it is difficult to make general statements about installations. If you send us a photo of your recumbent or trike, we can make specific recommendations based on our experiences with other customers. The Cyclone motor kits are also an excellent choice for power assist on fully enclosed velomobiles. With proper gearing, you should be able to reach speeds well over 30mph and travel in excess of 50 miles on a charge depending on your choice of motors and batteries.
